Start prep the evening before, around 5-7 PM, with the first dose. Take the second dose 5-6 hours before the procedure, around 6-7 AM, following doctor's instructions.
Avoid Suprep if you have kidney disease, heart failure, bowel obstruction, or severe dehydration. Stay hydrated, monitor for electrolyte imbalances, and follow dosage instructions carefully.
Typically, the first dose is taken the evening before the colonoscopy, around 5-7 PM. The second dose is taken 4-6 hours before the procedure, usually early morning.
Stick to a low-fiber diet a few days before, then switch to a clear liquid diet the day before. Drink broth, clear juices, tea, and sports drinks. Avoid dairy and red or purple liquids.
Everyone has a different response to the bowel prep solution. Some people start having diarrhea within an hour of drinking the solution. Others have no response for a few hours.
