Follow your doctor's instructions carefully, stay hydrated, stick to a clear liquid diet, and take the doses at the prescribed times. Expect frequent bowel movements and remain near a bathroom.
People with kidney disease, severe dehydration, bowel obstruction, toxic megacolon, heart failure, or electrolyte imbalances should avoid Clenpiq. Consult a doctor if pregnant, on diuretics, or have a history of GI disorders.
Clenpiq usually starts working within 30 minutes to 3 hours. Some experience effects sooner, while others may take longer, depending on hydration and digestion. Stay near a bathroom.
Clenpiq is a low-volume, stimulant and osmotic laxative bowel prep. It contains sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and citric acid, working to draw water into the intestines for colon cleansing.
Drink Clenpiq slowly over 5 to 10 minutes to avoid nausea. Follow with clear liquids as directed. Drinking too fast may cause bloating, cramping, or discomfort.
