Plenvu is a low-volume bowel cleansing solution used before a colonoscopy. It works as an osmotic laxative, flushing out stool for a clear intestinal view.
Plenvu is taken in two doses: one the evening before and one the morning of the procedure. Drink each dose followed by clear fluids as directed.
Plenvu induces frequent, watery bowel movements within 30 minutes to 3 hours. Expect cramping, urgency, and dehydration risks, so stay hydrated throughout the process.
You can drink clear liquids such as water, broth, apple juice, sports drinks, and herbal tea. Avoid red, blue, or purple drinks, dairy, or alcohol.
People with bowel obstruction, severe dehydration, kidney disease, heart conditions, or electrolyte imbalances should avoid Plenvu. Consult a doctor if pregnant or taking diuretics.
